Joan Koponen, wife of Niilo, mother to Karjala (Nonni), Sanni, Chena (husband Gary), Heather, Alex, grandkids and many horses, a wolf and dogs, passes at the age of nearly 94 at her long time home in Fairbanks after a two year battle with cancer March 29, 2025.
